For The Wonks: Current and Hypothetical Phosphorus Concentrations
Lake Champlain's phosphorus excesses aren't distributed evenly. Some parts of the lake can tolerate much more phosphorus than others, and phosphorus doesn't flow into the lake segments evenly either.
The EPA calculated the total phosphorus concentration for each lake segment (shown in blue) and prepared a corresponding target concentration (shown in green).
